2023第12屆MB電影獎入圍名單公布，大師導演馬丁史柯西斯的《花月殺手》入圍九項最多，比利時新銳導演盧卡斯東特獲坎城影展評審團大獎及奧斯卡最佳國際長片提名的《親密》（2022）以七項居次，令葛芮塔葛維格晉升金獎票房大導的全球年度票房冠軍電影《Barbie芭比》、大師級名導陶德海恩斯再獲讚譽的《五月的你，十二月的她》，和去年奧斯卡大片《TÁR塔爾》分獲六項提名第三，克里斯多佛諾蘭票房口碑再度雙贏的《奧本海默》、年度最令人驚喜的韓裔美國導演席琳宋首作《之前的我們》，和布萊德利庫柏再展一手包辦編製導演才氣的第二部作品《大師風華：真愛樂章》分獲五項提名第四。
2022台北電影節國際新導演競賽觀眾票選獎、入圍奧斯卡最佳國際長片的《夏日悄悄話》入圍四項；因疫情延宕三年終於正式上映的蔡明亮導演作品《日子》入圍三項；伊朗名導賈法潘納希再於國際影展掄元、獲威尼斯影展評審團特別獎的《這裡沒有熊》，亦獲青睞入圍最佳影片及導演兩項大獎。

分成序、十二個章節和跋，及以漫畫形式和情境喜劇呈現人生片刻的結構手法別出心裁，用電燈開關令全世界靜止的異想段落更令人驚喜。「世界上最爛的人」這個看似莞爾的片名其實暗藏深意，看似隨心所欲的茱莉因始亂終棄變成「世界上最爛的人」之一，她面臨決定時的當機立斷和總是聽從內心，卻是許多「好人」辦不到的事。尤沃金提爾再以意想不到的故事走向，誠實提醒人生在世的實情，創造出另一部雋永的成長電影。–喬治鎊
